GETTING TO & FROM THE AIRPORT

PRIVATE CAR

The best way to get to San Miguel is by arranging a private car/driver to take you to your destination. The fee is usually around 100-120 US Dollars. A tip is always appreciated by your driver.

TAXIS

Airports Taxis will take you to San Miguel de Allende. 

RENT A CAR

Remember that San Miguel is a historic city with streets that are narrow and steep. Walking the city is best, and compact rental will make it much easier for you.

TOLL ROADS

Many of Mexico's highways are toll roads. Their rates very accessible with highways well maintained, and offer the fastest routes. A good example is the Queretaro Airport to San Miguel de Allende. 

PEDESTRIAN FRIENDLY

Walking the historic part of downtown is a must. San Miguel de Allende has a surprise in every corner mesmerizing its' visitors with its colonial architecture. 

PARKING

Parking lots are the norm as trying to park a car on the street is nearly impossible. They are clearly marked with a large letter "E" meaning Estacionamiento, which means parking in Spanish.

They typically run from $20 to $30 Mexican pesos per hour (about 1 to 2 USD) and you can get weekly even monthly rates.

TAXI/BUS

Many tourists will use local Taxi to move around the city from place to place. Be weary of high traffic hours as walking will sometimes be the best option. Buses are also a fun option if your not in a hurry.
